Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Beavercreek, OH is hiring Manufacturing Technician 1 or 2 to build next‑generation composite structures. It will require development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce product that meet our customer expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based.This position may be filled as a Level 1 or Level 2 based on the qualifications outlined below.Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 1:High School diploma/GED & 9 months of experience OR completion of approved Aircraft Fabrication or Composites course (prior to starting)Proficiency in Microsoft applications.This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces.Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical Exam, and able to obtain and maintain a respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements.Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 2:High School Diploma or GED, and 2 years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar).Proficiency in Microsoft applications.This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces.Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical Exam, and able to obtain and maintain a respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements.Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.Preferred Qualifications:Composite experience and/or certification.Aerospace assembly.Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools.Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures.Primary Level Salary Range: $39,400.00 - $65,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $46,700.00 - $77,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
