Job Description

Set-up and calibrate equipment for operation and testing to specifications.

Adjust filler and libeler equipment with proper parts and settings for products to be portioned.

Assemble containers and components for the portioning process, ensuring correctness.

Conduct housekeeping tasks following set-up, including disinfection and autoclaving, to maintain cleanliness of equipment.

Sign in for bulk containers and verify lot numbers with paperwork.

Order and stock necessary supplies to support operations.

Portion materials into containers under safe production conditions.

Assemble and don required safety equipment as specified by protocol.

Follow up on inventory shortages.

Verify quantities for accuracy (cases vs. boxes vs. EA).

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot automated labeling and bagging equipment.

Check and update mainframe systems and SAP as required.

Maintain records for accountability and traceability.

Document all data related to traceability of bulk and components.

Record tests, measurements, and calibrations during operations.

Record calculations and conversions necessary for paperwork processing.

Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure product integrity.

Clean packaging equipment, test equipment, and tools, disassembling if required.

Clean workstations and restock materials, documenting cleaning activities.

Participate in process improvement initiatives, sharing ideas to save costs and improve efficiency.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including steel-toed safety shoes.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment and equipment.

Report safety or quality concerns immediately.

Perform miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.

Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule are expected.


Basic Qualifications:

Education: HS Diploma, GED, or HSED required.

Desirable: College coursework in chemistry or 6 months of experience weighing chemicals.

Knowledge and Skills: Basic math including metrics and conversions, safety rules, mechanical skills, teamwork, problem solving, ability to train others, and operate hand tools, pumps, scales, and material handling equipment. Good communication skills, mechanical inclination, and the ability to read and understand instructions are essential.

Notes: Interviews M-F 3-4 pm Eastern. Weekend shift: Friday-Sunday, 7 am to 7:30 pm. Pharma experience is important – 2 years.

Position Overview: This role requires significant training and expertise in manufacturing, with oversight responsibilities for team members. Candidates with extensive pharmaceutical industry experience or documented training within the organization are preferred.

Major Responsibilities: Demonstrated expertise in clean room/aseptic environments, equipment preparation, inspection, packaging, sanitization, and autoclave operation. Certification for entry into the Aseptic Core is required and must be maintained. The employee will oversee manufacturing activities, make independent processing decisions, and act as group lead in the absence of the supervisor. Coordination with support groups is also expected.
