Manufacturing Technician (MTSD) / Facility Security Officer (Trainee)

Compensation: Competitive, Based on Experience

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician with deep experience in RF and microwave electronics, who is also interested in cross-training into the role of Facility Security Officer (FSO). This unique opportunity combines advanced technical manufacturing skills with exposure to high-level national security compliance, making it ideal for candidates interested in both hands-on production and defense security operations.

• Support the production of RF & microwave frequency products, including subassemblies, modules, PC boards, and chip-and-wire bonded components.
• Apply root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Operate and maintain equipment used in advanced manufacturing, test, and assembly processes.
• Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to document and track production activities.
• Follow cleanroom and ESD-sensitive protocols for high-reliability hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure all specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ISO and defense industry standards.

Security Training & Responsibilities (Facility Security Officer - Trainee)

**No prior FSO experience required—training will be provided for the right candidate.**

• Learn to interpret and implement government and company security policies across classified programs.
• Gain working knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, and relevant DoD security frameworks.
• Support day-to-day security operations: document control, visit certifications, audits, personnel processing, and self-inspections.
• Assist in maintaining security systems and databases such as DISS, eQIP, and NISS.
• Help develop and deliver security awareness and training programs to staff.
• Learn to coordinate with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other oversight bodies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + 10+ years relevant experience OR Associate’s Degree + 6+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with RF systems, chip and wire processes, and microwave module assembly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard manufacturing documentation tools.
• Knowledge of MES systems and project-based manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• U.S. Security Clearance (active or eligible) is required.
• Willingness to be trained as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) is essential.
