Job summary

M &D is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Portland, Oregon to support shop productivity through production and repair processes. You will use hand and power tools, perform assembly, welding, and machine operation across various stages of production.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the willingness to follow safety policies. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities to contribute to a long-standing remanufacturing leader.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools, torque wrench, presses, air compressor, hoist, sandblaster, paint gun, grinder, band saw, and other equipment.
• Operate power tools and machinery in the production area.
• Prep products for assembly and perform assembly in various stages.
• Weld products in stages depending on skill level.
• Disassemble engine cylinder heads and other serviced products as required.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and assist with general shop duties.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for assisting the shop productivity through various stages of the production and repair processes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Use various hand tools, torque wrench, presses, air compressor, hoist, sandblaster, paint gun, grinder, band saw, and other equipment.
• Operate power tools.
• Prep products for assembly.
• Assemble products in various stages of production.
• Welding products in various stages of production, dependent upon skill level.
• Operates various machines throughout the assembly and production process.
• Intake and disassemble engine cylinder heads and various products serviced by location.
• General shop responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

• Experience in forklift operation; ability to become forklift certified.
