Veeco is seeking a Manufacturing Technician at their Somerset, NJ manufacturing facility. The technician will assemble, test, and troubleshoot sub-systems and test equipment, working closely with Engineering to resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-systems and components
• Test sub-systems and components
• Troubleshoot testing discrepancies
• Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to resolve issues
• Manage manufacturing test data and analyze discrepancies
• Compile reports and prepare products for shipment
• Improve testing methods and collaborate on new product development

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting complex systems. An Associate's degree or technical background is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Hardware, software, and control systems knowledge (Analog / D-Net preferred)
• Experience with high vacuum semiconductor hardware and manufacturing
• ERP system experience (SAP preferred)
• Experience with high-voltage/high-power systems
• Mechanical aptitude and basic data analysis skills
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work overtime and travel less than 5%
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Additional Information
