Job summary

Outokumpu Chrome Oy in Londonderry, NH, USA seeks a Manufacturing Operator to join our Green Metals Team. You will safely operate pilot-scale furnaces, monitor molten metal processes, and support startup, commissioning, maintenance, and process improvements.

We require a High School Diploma or GED and prefer candidates with industrial or pilot-plant experience, basic maintenance and effective communication skills, and ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Industrial, manufacturing, steelmaking, foundry, or pilot plant experience preferred.
• Molten metal and high-temperature processing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and accurately document process activities.
• Basic computer and effective communication skills.
• Forklift, crane, rigging, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced pilot/R&D environment.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including a PAPR (Power Air Purifying Respirator)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor pilot-scale furnaces, molten metal processes, and related equipment.
• Support startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and process improvements.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Follow operating procedures and maintain required process data and documentation.
• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with company, OSHA, environmental, and safety requirements.

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Operatorto join our Green Metals Team in Londonderry, NH, USA.

Schedule

• Primarily 8-hour shifts with overtime opportunities.
• Occasional evenings and weekends based on operational needs.

Position Objective

Support the safe and efficient operation of a metal-processing pilot plant, including furnace operations, equipment maintenance, commissioning, material handling, and process development activities.

• Work safely around heat, noise, dust, vibration, humidity, strong magnetic fields, and industrial equipment.

• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Safely use required PPE, hand/power tools, and material-handling equipment.
