Role Description
HEN is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to contribute to the rapid expansion of our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll be instrumental in manufacturing advanced fire fighting equipment essential for first responders tackling modern structural and wildfire scenarios. Your duties include building, testing, and repairing firefighting equipment like nozzles. You will manage daily production schedules, conduct final assembly & testing, and collaborate with manufacturing engineers. The ideal candidate will be able to master existing processes while proactively exploring new approaches to improve build quality, throughput, and process optimization. This position presents an exciting opportunity to refine your technical expertise and contribute to the advancement of groundbreaking technology.
What you'll do:
Schedule builds based on customer demands and inventory
Use and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build final assemblies
Screen and document assembly quality defects
Manage parts and consumable inventories
Suggest and oversee installation and assembly of new equipment or tools.
Maintain laboratory conditions to ensure cleanliness and productivity for fellow lab users.
What you'll bring:
Experience scaling up benchtop assembly or with at-scale manufacturing
Familiarity with lean concepts.
Aptitude for hands-on, high quality, and detail oriented work.
Strong sense of patience and safety in a fast paced environment.
Written and oral communication skills.
Comfort using digital tools and organizational software (WIX, Shipstation, and MRPEasy as well as Microsoft Office).
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
