Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is hiring multiple Mechanical Technicians to work temporarily at Gonzales CA. We are seeking individuals with a strong mechanical background to join our Upgrades team and tackle challenging projects in a dynamic environment. Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (10 hours).

OT rate applies after 8 hours; 2nd shift offers a 10% differential pay. We support training on day shift with potential transition to 2nd shift up to ~$33 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair.
• Safety-focused with ability to learn quickly and self-motivated.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments to 0.001
• Using micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge blocks.

Responsibilities

• Construct cutting-edge components and assemblies for generators, following procedures while identifying opportunities for innovation.
• Conduct thorough inspections of test units and document findings for engineering.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements that enhance safety and efficiency.

Salary: USD28 - USD30 per hour + 10% differential pay for 2nd shift

Ultimate Staffing is hiring multiple Mechanical Technicians to work temporarily at Gonzales CA. We also need candidates that can train on day shift and go to 2nd shift (get 10% differential pay) up to ~$33 per hour.

Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:00AM to 5:30PM (10 hours shift). OT rate paid after 8th hour of work.

• Conducting thorough inspections of test units and meticulously documenting your findings to provide crucial insights for our engineering team
• Proactively identify and implement improvements that enhance both the safety and efficiency of our groundbreaking work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and/or repair. Experience with automotive or heavy equipment assembly is a plus
• Proven ability to learn quickly, a strong sense of self-motivation, and a demonstrated commitment to safety
• Experience with precision measuring instruments, capable of measurements down to .001” , using tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge blocks
• Metal fabrication skills are considered a plus
