- Location: Clearwater, FL

- Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm (shift differential from 5pm-7am)
- Salary: $19.00/hr.-$22.00/hr. depending on experience. Competitive package

Summary
You will work as part of a talented team within the food and beverage industry, adhering to quality standards, GMPs, Safe Quality Food requirements, and FDA guidelines for food safety. You should have the skills to operate machinery efficiently, think quickly, and pay strong attention to detail to ensure machinery and quality standards are maintained. This role is ideal for highly detail-oriented, mechanically inclined individuals passionate about creating beverage and culinary flavor solutions.
Responsibilities
- Handle materials by printing requisition sheets, using Navision and inventory to locate and weigh raw materials according to formulas.
- Coordinate with QA to retest and discard expired raw materials.
- Assist during production batches.
- Maintain raw material locations and assist in cycle counting, both physically and in Navision.
- Verify material requisition sheets for accuracy before staging and weighing raw ingredients; pull samples for R&D as needed.
- Perform CIP functions on batching equipment and titrations on cleaning chemicals.
- Unload liquid and dry sugar.
- Keep work areas clean and complete cleaning checklists.
- Follow work instructions and job aids, complete documentation and quality checks per SQF requirements.
- Use continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes.
- Troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a sanitary, safe work environment and handle chemicals properly.
- Report food safety and quality issues to management.
- Weigh and stage ingredients for syrup batches.
- Uphold and promote company mission and values.
- Develop and deliver training supporting quality and food safety objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Level II Responsibilities (if applicable)
- Set up, operate, and monitor syrup production equipment.
- Coordinate with production to meet daily schedules.
- Collaborate with R&D on first-time batches.
- Use PLC and batching equipment for syrup processing.
- Understand flow paths and automated sequences for transfer, processing, and pasteurization.
- Monitor sugar levels and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Lead equipment PMs, hydration, water polishing, and CIP system activities.
- Assist in calibration of scales and instruments.
- Train new syrup production employees.
- Utilize system software: Factory Talk Batch, E-procedures, Navision, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Provide leadership in the absence of supervisors and managers, serving as backup to the Syrup Supervisor.
- Uphold and promote company mission and values.
- Develop and implement training supporting quality and food safety.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; or 1-2 years related experience or training; or equivalent.
- Previous GMP or FDA experience.
- Ability to perform basic math in all units of measure.
- Willingness to learn CIP controls, Factory Talk Batch, and Navision.
- Ability to stand, reach, walk, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in wet environments with chemicals.
- Comfort with volatile and dust-producing ingredients.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Follow safety standards diligently.
- Forklift, walk-behind lift, and electric pallet jack certification is a plus.
- Attention to detail to ensure batches follow recipes and SOPs precisely.
