Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Carson CA 90746 (Onsite). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Manufacturing industry is a must.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $32/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Bill of Materials (BOMs), Routings, and Work Instructions
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA V5, and SmarTeam
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Visio, MS Project, and Microsoft Teams (preferred)
• Skilled in 2D/3D drawings interpretation, GD&T, and DFM/DFA principles
• Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
• Knowledge of CNC machining, composites manufacturing, and Crush Core processes
• Experience in assembly line design and time studies

Industry Knowledge:

• Background in aerospace or automotive manufacturing
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, customer specifications, and company quality standards
• Analytical & Strategic Skills:
• Ability to identify production constraints and propose process improvements
• Capable of capital investment justification and cost optimization
• Proficient in developing and monitoring industrialization metrics/KPIs

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Ability to work independently and handle complex manufacturing challenges
