Job summary

US Tech Solutions in Glendale, AZ is seeking a technical writer with 3+ years of experience to develop and improve documentation used by manufacturing and engineering teams. You will create work instructions, SOPs and troubleshooting guides that clearly convey complex processes.

You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers and operations, research technical information from multiple sources, and ensure all materials meet ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and the company style guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing experience, manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 a must.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams). PTC Windchill system experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand technical processes being documented. Optics knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all documentation produced.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, adapting to changing project requirements and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Documentation Creation: Develop and improve work instructions, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and job aids.
• Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and operations gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
• Research: Investigate and analyze technical information from various sources to create comprehensive documentation that meets user needs.
• Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guidelines.
• Basic Project Management: Manage documentation projects, including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.
