Qualifications

• Associates or bachelors degree in Management, Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of similar management experience in a packaging environment, confectionery preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish language preferred with strong communication skills.
• Strong focus with courage, drive and discipline to execute.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge with results-driven experience.
• Ability to hire top talent and build high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of safety best practices and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and development to team and associates to direct safety, machine care, sanitation, maintenance, quality, productivity, cost and people.
• Aligns continuous improvement initiatives with KPIs to drive goals.
• Reports food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP.
• Follows PIM Brands GMP rules and monitors GMP adherence.
• Delivers with commitment to excellence and challenges the status quo.
• Develops relationships with HR, Finance, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Sanitation, Logistics, and Facilities.
• Provides training and coaching on job skills, safety policies and company rules.
• Leads by example to engage employees in improvement initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with GMP and HACCP for safety and quality.
• Conducts quality and safety audits with SQF compliance.
• Completes reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions with Engineering and Maintenance.
• Manages inventory procedures including FEFO control.
• Handles emergencies and reports incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Provides feedback and cross-training to develop a skilled workforce.
• Coordinates production with planning, warehouse, procurement, facilities/maintenance, sanitation, and quality control.
• Reviews reports to determine causes of nonconformity and improve product quality.
• Develops methods to eliminate problems and improve quality.
• Revises schedules due to equipment or supply chain issues.
• Inspires and motivates the team with engaging leadership.
• Builds a high performing team by hiring top talent and developing people.
• Manages employee relations and attendance policy compliance.
• Creates development experiences to cross-train and grow talent.
• Encourages focus, accountability, collaboration and results.
• Manages key projects as assigned.
