Position

Manufacturing Team Lead – Newark, DE. Shift hours: Friday–Sunday 6am–6pm. Fully on‑site, in‑office role reporting to Manufacturing Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain on‑floor manufacturing activities, ensuring safety and adherence to EHS policies.
• Guarantee that all quality requirements are met and that team members comply daily.
• Answer technical and welding questions and aid in maintaining process flow.
• Process Oracle transactions and IoT data for material movements between plants and processes.
• Provide status updates on findings to engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory management.
• Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices.
• Train and mentor technical team members, ensuring they can troubleshoot techniques.
• Report attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Oversee the assembly team from a process standpoint and communicate issues with management.
• Identify non‑value‑added waste and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
• Assist in creating Yamazumi charts and in production line set‑up.
• Manage rework components for Unishell and Hotbox production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate and lead teams.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly motivated self‑starter and team player.
• Adherence to safe work practices and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience creating standardized work.
• Experience completing station audits.
• Experience creating Yamazumi charts and production line set‑up.
• Experience in process technician responsibilities is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Flexibility to work fluctuating schedules if needed.

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk for 10–12 hours per shift.
• Traverse stairs and navigate the facility throughout the day.
• Occasionally lift or carry 25–50lb.
• Use hands and fingers to operate machinery, controls, and computers.
• Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital or printed materials.
• Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff.
• Perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Competency in written and verbal English communications for safety protocols, hazard communications, and SOPs.
