Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and 3–5 years bending equipment experience.
• Strong geometry and trigonometry math skills.
• Ability to operate overhead crane, aerial lift, forklift, and bending machines.
• Ability to read/write English and follow instructions.
• Ability to measure and count accurately.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and track department metrics.
• Set daily production plan by scheduling personnel to meet daily schedules.
• Ensure operation of equipment and schedule repairs.
• Train and coach team members; monitor training progress.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Instruct and monitor production employees' work practices.
• Use software for material and shop floor transactions.
• Set up and program machines per blueprints and templates.
• Provide for modifications and create detailed job instructions.
• Check first runs and subsequent pieces for spec conformity.
• Maintain 5-S in the workspace.
• Maintain safe and clean environment; assist in injury investigations.
• Perform inventory and material supply functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
