Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a lead role in DNA/mRNA Manufacturing
• Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Preferably experience in downstream process development for large biomolecules (mRNA, DNA, or pDNA)
• Hands-on experience with filtration technologies and lyophilization unit operation is a plus
• Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification is a plus
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage ssDNA manufacturing operations
• Collaborate with Process Development and R&D teams to transfer new process technologies from development to manufacturing
• Maintain detailed documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal records
• Maintain and update SOPs used in Manufacturing
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to ensure efficient production of ssDNA
• Lead a team of Manufacturing Production Engineers with guidance and mentorship
• Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions
• Lead Root Cause Analysis with Production Team members
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in manufacturing
• Manage production schedules to meet project timelines
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize processes
• Stay updated on industry trends in mRNA/DNA/ssDNA manufacturing technology
• Train and onboard new team members; provide ongoing training
• Communicate manufacturing performance and progress to management
• Participate in strategic planning to support company goals
• Promote teamwork and accountability
