Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Team Lead of Manufacturing to oversee a shift of hourly colleagues in a test and assembly environment. You will focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity and Employee Development while maintaining equipment and collaborating with the broader manufacturing team.

The role requires proven leadership in low-volume, high-complexity electronics manufacturing, experience with lean, 6S and GMP-like practices, plus strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of education or experience demonstrating required skills.
• Military technical training in lieu of a degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

• First line of response for manufacturing team when they face problems.
• Report out results and barriers to execution to upper management.
• Employee development including individual development plans, coaching, training, performance evaluations and feedback.
• Staffing, time-card administration and overtime management.
• Plan and track daily and weekly production metrics; facilitate regular team meetings; resolve production problems; drive 6S program.
