Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Hillsboro is seeking an assembly-focused professional for second shift to build high-precision components. You will perform assembly, alignment, and final configurations using hand tools and test equipment, while documenting data and supporting process improvements.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least 1 year in manufacturing or mechanical assembly, with lean/6S experience and familiarity with Windows-based software.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.
• Lean manufacturing and 6S experience is a plus.
• Experience in a Clean Room environment is a plus.
• Proficiency with Windows-based programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, and finalize components.
• Use hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment according to methods.
• Document manufacturing data and test results.
• Resolve production challenges and assist in process decisions.
• Set up equipment and perform calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Follow audit and safety guidelines.
• Participate in continuous process improvement.
