Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising hourly craft or production employees preferred.
• Working knowledge of welding, machining, fabrication, or assembly.
• Strong understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of hourly manufacturing employees.
• Assign work, set priorities, and adjust staffing to meet production schedules.
• Enforce safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Conduct safety observations and address unsafe behaviors immediately.
• Monitor production output, efficiency, scrap, and rework.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Review and approve employee time, attendance, and overtime as required.
• Train, coach, and develop employees on job skills, safety, and performance expectations.
• Conduct performance feedback, disciplinary actions, and corrective coaching as per policy.
• Support preventive maintenance and housekeeping initiatives.
• Communicate production goals, expectations, and changes to employees.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Escalate production, safety, or personnel issues to management as needed.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
