Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory management, or related functions.
  • Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow and inventory control.
  • Experience developing work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization methodologies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience analyzing operational data.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • NetSuite experience - supporting ERP implementations, manufacturing expansions, or operational transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes within an ERP system, with NetSuite as a core platform.
  • Design and improve workflows for material receiving, inventory storage, and finished goods fulfillment.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to improve operational visibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve end-to-end processes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics such as inventory accuracy and throughput.
  • Train staff on new procedures and system functionality.
  • Assist in ensuring inventory transaction accuracy through barcode and digital tools.

Our client is seeking a Lead Supply Chain Specialist to help develop and optimize material flow across a growing manufacturing operation. This role combines supply chain, manufacturing systems, inventory management, and continuous improvement to create scalable processes that support production growth.

The ideal candidate enjoys building efficient workflows, improving operational performance, and collaborating across multiple functions to implement lasting process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Systems & ERP

  • Lead implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes within an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. NetSuite is an absolute MUST.
  • Design and improve workflows supporting:
  • Material receiving and inspection
  • Inventory storage and replenishment
  • Stockroom operations and kitting
  • Finished goods fulfillment and shipping
  • Validate system workflows through testing prior to production deployment.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics that improve operational visibility.
  • Support inventory transaction accuracy through barcode and digital inventory management tools.

Process Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Design scalable manufacturing and material handling workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving methodologies to reduce waste and improve performance.
  • Establish and monitor key operational performance metrics including inventory accuracy, throughput, fulfillment, and production efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and Information Systems teams to improve end-to-end business processes.
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Provide operational support across inventory, planning, warehouse, and production functions as business needs evolve.
  • Train employees on new procedures and system functionality.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for manufacturing processes and inventory workflows.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory management, or related functions.
  • Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow and inventory control.
  • Experience developing work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization methodologies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience analyzing operational data.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • NetSuite experience -supporting ERP implementations, manufacturing expansions, or operational transformation initiatives.
Preferred:
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory traceability, serialized products, or quality management systems.
  • Onsite position supporting both office and manufacturing operations.
  • Regular interaction with warehouse, production, and inventory teams.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift materials during daily operations.
