Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Director-level leader to build, configure, and sustain system integrations between downstream capabilities and shop floor systems.

You will act as the technical authority for integration delivery and operations across global sites, partnering with IT, OT RunOps, data engineering, and product management to ensure accurate, timely data across platforms. You will mentor engineers on integration best practices, drive data quality, and maintain familiarity

Qualifications

• 12+ years in manufacturing technology or industrial systems environments; pharma manufacturing experience preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years in system integration, automation, or manufacturing IT/OT roles.
• Strong experience integrating upstream systems such as MES, PI, and DeltaV with downstream platforms.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing execution processes and shop floor data generation.
• Demonstrated experience in data mapping and contextualization across manufacturing systems.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts, with experience querying and transforming manufacturing data.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and sustain system integrations connecting operational and digital shopfloor systems.
• Partner with site ops and process engineers to map data for scheduling, productivity, and reporting use cases.
• Establish and maintain integration standards, templates, and reusable patterns.
• Oversee execution and scale integration solutions across global sites with minimal disruption.
• Provide senior level troubleshooting and incident leadership for integration issues.
