Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Associate Director-level leader to build and sustain system integrations between shop floor manufacturing systems and downstream capabilities.

You will drive data quality, standardization, and reliable data flows across global sites, partnering with IT, OT RunOps, and product management. You will mentor teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure governance for integration configurations while advancing Industry 4.0 initiatives in a pharma

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in manufacturing technology or industrial systems environments; pharma manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in system integration, automation, or manufacturing IT/OT roles.
• Experience integrating MES, PI/DeltaV with downstream scheduling, productivity, analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and sustain system integrations across shop floor and downstream capabilities.
• Partner with site operations and process engineers to map data for scheduling, productivity, and reporting use cases.
• Establish and maintain integration standards, templates, and reusable patterns for onboarding sites.
• Oversee execution and scale up of integration solutions across global sites.
• Provide senior level troubleshooting and incident leadership for integration issues.
• Drive data quality and validation across manufacturing data ecosystems.
• Maintain familiarity with MES, data historians, and process control environments.
• Stay current with Ignition, OPC UA, edge platforms and Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Manage vendor and integrator relationships related to integration delivery.
• Coordinate execution across a distributed global team.
• Mentor engineers and site teams on integration best practices.
• Support governance and change control processes for configurations.
