Job summary

American Packaging Corporation (APC) in Chili, NY seeks an experienced Engineer to provide design and maintenance support for the facility. The role focuses on machine design, plant and facility construction, equipment installation, quality improvements, and safety, with collaboration across Maintenance and Production teams.

The position requires hands-on project involvement, knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering and PLC systems, and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in plant-wide electrical/mechanical systems and safety.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering/design for maintenance and improvement projects.
• Oversee fabrication, assembly and installation of equipment.
• Support plant engineering and maintenance with process improvements.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on operation, troubleshooting and safety.
• Prepare project documentation, drawings, and flowcharts.
