Job summary

American Packaging Corporation (APC) seeks a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain manufacturing and ancillary equipment at the Chili, NY facility. This role requires hands-on work with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, and the ability to use testing tools.

The ideal candidate holds a two-year certificate in machining/electronics or equivalent experience, with strong reading, math, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year certificate in machining and/or electronics, or two years related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Math skills: add/subtract, multiply, divide; compute rate, ratio, percent; interpret graphs.
• Reasoning ability: follow detailed instructions; solve problems with a few concrete variables.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and varied exertion.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust and maintain manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
• Use monitoring and testing equipment to aid troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Continuously develop skills and knowledge to handle new equipment and technology.
• Follow LO/TO and electrical safety policies; work safely.
• Other duties as assigned.
