Job Summary:
Operate as a member of our Manufacturing Systems Engineering team as part of the System Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Team. The Manufacturing Systems Engineering (MSE) Team supports all Northrop Grumman Fuze and Warhead Operating Unit programs in the areas of manufacturing planning, subcontractor and supplier liaison, production cost modeling, technology and manufacturing readiness, and other activities that enable manufacturing success.
Specific Responsibilities:
Leverage model-based solutions to integrate manufacturing requirements and data with system requirements and design data.
Prepare labor and material estimates in support of proposals.
Utilize various tools to assess the current condition of design, manufacturing, and supply chains in order to mature all elements for stable and profitable production.
Basic Qualifications:
Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, process engineering, or similar; OR Master’s degree in STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 0+ years of related professional experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, process engineering, or similar.
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, process engineering, or similar; OR Master’s degree in STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, process engineering, or similar.
Possess or ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
Strong familiarity with process development, controls, and manufacturing management.
Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership experience.
Comfortable with public speaking in front of large groups.
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree
Experience with electronics manufacturing, electro-mechanical assemblies, and energetics loading and processing.
Experience with strategic sourcing, cost analysis, design for manufacturing and assembly, and capital investment assessments.
Experience with a variety of manufacturing methods, materials, and interest in understanding them more.
Experience with GD&T, metrology, and quality systems utilized in production.
General experience with CAD, CAM, and FEA.
Extensive knowledge in US DoD product development and acquisition approaches.
Experience with fast-paced agile team engagement on development and production.
Experience with Cameo System Modeler or similar tool preferred.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and managing work in Jira are preferred.
Technical writing capability.
Salary Range: $85,400 - $128,000
Salary Range 2: $105,400 - $158,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
