Job summary

BI Incorporated in Boulder, CO seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to design, modify, and optimize manufacturing systems essential to daily production and service of BI products. You will lead system changes, model processes, and collaborate with Methods, Industrial Engineering, and IT teams to implement improvements.

The role requires strong project management, Agile expertise, and mentoring, with responsibilities spanning coding, testing, and release coordination for manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering or related field.
• Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
• US citizenship is required.
• Must live in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years (military or study abroad included).
• Experience in project management and Agile software development.
• Knowledge of change control technologies and source control.
• Familiarity with product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as systems engineer for manufacturing processes and operations.
• Execute manufacturing system modifications as directed by the Lead Process Engineer.
• Identify areas for improvement through process automation and optimization.
• Model manufacturing processes and information infrastructure; propose improvements.
• Collaborate across Methods, Industrial, and IT teams to implement changes.
• Develop or modify code to meet manufacturing system requirements.
• Define coding and unit testing standards for manufacturing/operations.
• Coordinate code releases, quality, and testing activities.
