Job summary

BI, a leading technology company in Boulder, Colorado, seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to design, modify, and advance manufacturing systems used daily to produce BI products. You will drive process automation, collaborate with Methods, Industrial and Process Engineering, and IT teams, and help implement changes that boost efficiency and cut costs.

The role requires a BS in CS/Engineering, experience in Agile development, and strong SQL/relational database skills, plus the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
• Must live in the United States 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
• Experience in project management.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
• Source control: knowledge of change control technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serves as systems engineer for manufacturing process and operations.
• Execute on manufacturing system modifications as directed by the Lead Process Engineer.
• Identify areas for improvement through process automation.
• Model manufacturing processes and information infrastructure and propose improvements.
• Collaborate across functions to implement manufacturing changes and improvements.
• Develop or modify code to meet manufacturing systems requirements.
• Coordinate code releases, quality and testing for manufacturing and operations.
