Amkor Technology, Inc. in Arizona is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES / Factory Automation) to support MES, CIM, automation, and quality systems for a new ATA greenfield facility. The role emphasizes configuration, integration, and deployment rather than software development.

The engineer will collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable factory systems from the ground up, with opportunities to travel internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
• 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing IT, factory automation, or semiconductor manufacturing systems
• Hands-on experience with MES, CIM/EAP/RMS, automation, logistics, or quality systems (SPC, FDC)

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and support MES and related manufacturing systems
• Integrate MES with CIM/EAP, automation systems (AMHS/OHT), quality systems, and ERP
• Manage system interfaces and data flows (lot tracking, WIP, recipes, dispatching logic)
• Maintain manufacturing master data (process flows, equipment, materials, recipes)
• Troubleshoot system issues impacting manufacturing operations and data integrity
• Document system functionality, enhancements, and procedures
