Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Valley, Nebraska is seeking a Manufacturing Support Services Tech to coordinate routing of parts and orders, create CNC files, perform time studies, and maintain standard costs.

The role supports multiple sites within NA Pole Operations in a fast-paced plant environment. The position requires a high school diploma or 4+ years of experience (or an Associate's degree), plus proficiency in IFS, EVA, Office software, and AutoCAD for CNC programming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4+ years of work/educational experience or Associates Degree.
• Ability to do basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of or the ability to learn IFS, EVA, Microsoft Office, and CNC programming using basic AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to keep a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced, hectic work environment.
• Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Review part numbers that are entered on the IFS system to ensure parts can be manufactured with specified limitations
• Print/View drawings of record on selected orders
• Review selected part assemblies and component parts to verify that they are within our site manufacturing limitations
• Update standard cost of part numbers in IFS and roll cost as required
• Create CNC files for production
• Perform time studies on production floor
