Universal Stainless is seeking a Technical Assistant to support the Dunkirk Technology team and assist other departments as directed by Technical Management. You will review process records, collect data, witness critical order processing, and create heat treatment charts.

The role requires 1–3 years in manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Office and Google Suite. Safety-oriented and able to meet deadlines are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in STEM or equivalent manufacturing experience
• 1–3 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and data-collection abilities
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
• Safety-oriented and reliable in meeting deadlines

Responsabilités

• Review process records against procedures, order requirements, and fixed practices
• Product and process data collection/summarization
• Witness processing of critical orders/materials
• Creation and review of heat treatment charts
• Monitor department backlogs and flag items needing attention
• Review conversion requisitions against order requirements
• Summarize data for reports and projects
• Systems support (scanning, printing, retrieving documents; upload purchase orders into database)
• QA/QC functions (material certification generation/review; audit support; customer/OEM audit support; review test results)
