Job summary

Precision Castparts in Dillon, SC, seeks a manufacturing supervisor to lead an hourly team, drive quality, schedule, and cost goals, and support lean improvements. You will oversee resource planning, production flow, and safety compliance while mentoring team members and coordinating first-line activities across Methods and Production Control.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 4+ years supervisory experience, knowledge of CNC/DIM and Six Sigma, and a willingness to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing
• Experience with CNC Machining, Dimensional Inspection, and precision measuring equipment
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide technical, quality and production leadership to assigned team to meet quality, schedule, and cost goals
• Provide ongoing support in scheduling resources, technical leadership and facilitating the flow of hardware to meet customer requirements
• Support Team Leaders with decision making in process improvements and production resource decisions
• Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns and reduce losses
• Direct hourly team activities to meet department goals
• Perform administrative duties to support the business (timecards, labor vouchers, self-audits, etc.)
• Coordinate all first line activities to assure production schedules, customer satisfaction and cost goals
• Coach and counsel team members regarding performance and development
• Motivate workforce through sound human relations and communication
• Review production orders to ensure schedules are met
• Analyze and diagnose machine and tooling problems to minimize downtime
• Maintain highest safety levels in the plant
• Experience with lean manufacturing improvements
• Employ Six Sigma rigor across the department
• Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality, productivity improvements

Knowledge And Training

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of prior supervisor / leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred
• (Prior experience, in CNC Machining, Dimensional Inspection, and knowledge of precision measuring equipment)
• Prior supervisory / leadership experience in manufacturing/ Prior machining leadership experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and bring to successful completion
