Job summary

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Reagents Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing and warehouse operations within a regulated production environment. This position will lead a manufacturing team and ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with established quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

The Reagents Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for production planning and scheduling, team leadership, employee development, quality and safety performance, inventory and warehouse coordination, and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to ensure production schedules are met and customers receive quality products on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily reagent manufacturing and warehousing operations to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and GMP requirements.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to manufacturing personnel while promoting a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Develop, communicate, and execute production schedules to maximize manufacturing efficiency and meet customer requirements.
• Monitor production performance and establish metrics focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, efficiency, and overall operating costs.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to established specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor production activities to ensure customer orders and delivery requirements are met.
• Train, coach, and develop manufacturing employees on production procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and GMP practices.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and follow established manufacturing work instructions and procedures.
• Coordinate with Quality, Operations, Planning, Warehouse, and other departments to address production needs and resolve issues.
• Monitor department performance and take appropriate action to address productivity, quality, scheduling, or employee-related concerns.
• Support effective inventory and warehouse operations related to reagent manufacturing.
• Assist with identifying and implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate operational issues and develop practical solutions to improve workflow and minimize production interruptions.
• Promote compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
• Manage personnel-related activities within the department, including scheduling, performance management, employee development, and conflict resolution.
• Communicate departmental goals, expectations, and performance results to the manufacturing team.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate production and departmental documentation and records.
• Support company initiatives, projects, and other manufacturing-related activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality requirements.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, scheduling, and workflow management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, coach, and develop manufacturing employees.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based manufacturing or business systems.
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet production deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience in reagent, medical device, diagnostic, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience working with production metrics and KPIs.
• Experience with manufacturing work instructions, procedures, and documentation.
• Experience overseeing both manufacturing and warehouse operations.
• Experience working in an environment where quality, traceability, and regul
