Superior Essex in Brownwood, Texas, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee shift activities in the manufacturing of wire and cable products. The role includes supervising employees, planning production operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

One year certificate from college or technical school and /or three to four years related experience and /or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Directly supervises employees in the assigned production area.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations' policy and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Supervises and coordinates all shift activities of assigned production area(s) engaged in the manufacture of wire and cable products by performing the following duties personally or through employees.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or organization.
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations.
