Job summary

Monnit Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Solder Technician to join our production team. You will hand solder through-hole and surface-mount components, assemble PCBs and wiring harnesses, and read assembly drawings to ensure high-quality products for customers worldwide.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with small components. Prior soldering or electronics assembly experience is preferred, with IPC certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Soldering/electronics assembly experience preferred, but not required.
• IPC certification is a plus.
• Experience using soldering irons and hand tools.
• Ability to read work instructions and assembly documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Hand solder through-hole and surface-mount electronic components.
• Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs), wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable assemblies.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Inspect solder joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform PCB rework and repairs as needed.
• Accurately document completed work and inspection results.
• Safely operate manufacturing equipment and hand tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work area.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

What You'll Do
