Job summary

CCAM is seeking a Manufacturing Software Research Engineer to design, develop, and integrate software for advanced manufacturing research, with emphasis on ML, data science, and sensor integration. The role blends software development with applied analytics in a collaborative, on-site setting with CCAM teams and industry partners.

Responsibilities include building Python/C++/C# tools, Docker deployment, and data visualization for real-time sensor data, LPBF/DED datasets, and 3D coordinates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development, data analysis, and ML.
• Strong programming in Python and at least one of C++ or C#.
• Experience with data visualization and time-series data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Software development & integration using Python, C++, or C# for research projects.
• Use network protocols and middleware (Zenoh, MQTT, DDS, OPC-UA) to connect systems.
• Create UIs for sensor systems, ML models, and 3D data visualization.
• Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
• Perform data analysis and develop high-impact visualizations for internal and partner teams.
