Job summary

Fabri is hiring a Software Engineer, Applied ML to build software systems connecting Fabri's digital manufacturing process end-to-end. You will work across manufacturing data, process analytics, workflow automation, and machine/process integration to improve quality, throughput, and repeatability.

The ideal candidate is a strong C++ and/or Python engineer who enjoys ambiguous problems, physical systems, and wearing many hats.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong programming ability in C++17 and/or Python.
Experience building backend systems, automation tools, data processing software, or technical internal tools.
Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills.
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments where requirements are not fully specified.
Interest in manufacturing, robotics, hardware, or applied ML.
Ability to communicate clearly with software and non-software teammates.
Willingness to work on-site and stay close to the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

Design practical data collection systems for process data and logs.
Build software that processes manufacturing data to improve quality and throughput.
Analyze historical process data to identify trends and correlations.
Train and deploy ML models predicting manufacturing outcomes from data.
Write C++ software for data processing and automation.
Identify automation and analytics opportunities to improve processes.
Build backend services and internal tools for reliability and scalability.
Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering teams.
