Job summary

Mach9 Robotics Inc. is seeking an ML Engineer to build perception models powering our AI-enabled CAD system. You will develop and train models to extract 3D geometry from dense LiDAR and imagery, moving ideas from research to production features in a cloud-based CAD solution.

This role targets early-to-mid-career engineers who own end-to-end projects and can translate research papers into shipped capabilities, collaborating with infra and product teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, CS or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong foundation in computer vision and deep learning with hands-on model training.
• Experience taking ML models from research to production, not just papers.
• Working knowledge of 3D perception concepts and coordinate transforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with researchers and product teams.
• Proficient in Python and production ML libraries (PyTorch/JAX/TF).

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate CV and 3D ML models for CAD-grade geometry from LiDAR and imagery.
• Drive ML research turning into product capabilities; prototype, run experiments, ship features.
• Own models through lifecycle: data strategy, training, evaluation, integration into cloud CAD.
• Develop evaluation metrics reflecting surveying and engineering accuracy needs.
• Collaborate with ML infra and product teams to scale training and inference.
