Job summary

Masis Staffing is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a manufacturing client in Centerbrook, CT. You will handle shipment preparation, packing, labeling, and documentation while coordinating with production, inventory, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include order processing, tracking shipments, maintaining records, and ensuring safety compliance. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; DOE: $18 an hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree in logistics or related field is a plus.
• 1 to 3 years experience in shipping/logistics.
• Proficiency with shipping & receiving software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Experience with major carrier platforms (FedEx, UPS, DHL).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and lift heavy boxes.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment; 18 years or older; eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review orders; verify accuracy and prepare shipments.
• Assemble, pack, label boxes, crates, or pallets with appropriate materials.
• Process shipping documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, labels).
• Coordinate with logistics providers to arrange pickup and delivery.
• Track shipments and update delivery status; resolve delays.
• Maintain inventory records and packaging-supply levels.
• Perform quality checks on items before shipping; adhere to safety rules.
