Job summary
Corning Incorporated in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a manufacturing technician to provide first-through-third level troubleshooting of production equipment. You will work hands-on with electrical, mechanical, and control systems, identifying issues and supporting process improvements in a busy facility.
You will monitor equipment performance, coordinate with engineers and operators, and contribute to training, safety, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree or five years manufacturing experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic controls.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical drawings and machine specifications.
- Familiarity with PLC fundamentals.
- Proficient in Windows and common office software.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for comprehensive troubleshooting of production equipment.
- Monitor area performance and drive issue resolution.
- Manage multiple issues and prioritize based on plant needs.
- Support preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Direct maintenance personnel in repairs, testing, and installation.
- Maintain documentation and training materials as needed.
