Atkore Plastic Pipe Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Lead for the day shift (8:00am–8:00pm) at our on-site facility in Louisville, KY. Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Experience with PVC extrusion operations or quick learnability.
• Set up machines and perform changeovers for production runs.
• Mentor Machine Operator levels I-III in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read micrometer and OD tape accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for production runs and perform changeovers.

Who we are looking for:

• Ability to safely and efficiently set up machines for production runs, including adjustments and changeovers.
• Reporting and verifying production totals entered in JDE system, recording production data and assisting with preparing shift reports.
• Serve as a manufacturing technical expert for identified manufacturing processes.
• Responsible for floor operations and escalating issues to department leadership
• Continuously monitor machine performance and product quality during shift, anticipate problems, and trouble-shoot processes and equipment with the assistance of other support groups.
• Performs minor preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Monitors the shifts goals and measures of success on hour x hour boards, actively tracking progress toward goal attainment.
• Provide mentoring to Machine Operator levels I, II and III

• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
