Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Services Technician for the onsite 2nd shift in Cypress, CA. The role focuses on routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance across manufacturing assets and equipment to ensure safety, availability and reliability.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and US citizenship or permanent residency. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial vacuum systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident is required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Utilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance and analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance.
• Collect, organise, and analyse data in support of key performance indicators for the manufacturing services department as required.
• Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, circuit/logic diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics; identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Suggest improvements to work instructions to optimise the electrical installation / maintenance strategy.
• Coordinate their activities with production staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with production leaders, team leaders, and production operators.
• Work alongside/support equipment OEM engineers as required and consistently perform asset maintenance activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard.
• Support the effective induction of new team members and support cross-training of other team members.
• Utilise problem solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and previous experience.
• Able to process Work Orders and pull reports from the computerised maintenance management system and safely operate site specific equipment as required with appropriate training.

Position Summary

The second shift Manufacturing Services Technician will perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment across a plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable of use when required.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent or GED (General Educational Development)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, word, Excel, and Outlook)
• In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working with industrial vacuum systems.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Mental & Physical Requirements

Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with team assistance for heavier loads
