Job summary

Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc. in California seeks a Senior Accountant responsible for reviewing financial activity, month-end close, consolidation prep, internal controls, and process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, 6+ years of accounting experience with 2 years in a manufacturing environment; CPA is desirable, and strong Excel skills are essential. Some duties involve audits, budgeting, and cost analysis across US and Tecate operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent) with at least 6 years overall accounting experience and 2 years of manufacturing environment experience.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• CPA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing procedures; run month end reports, enter journal entries, prepare monthly summary and other reports as required.
• Support Accounting Manager by interpreting and reporting the accounting data to arrive at overall business conclusions.
• Participate in forecasting and budgeting; analyze departmental expenses with managers.
• Maintain fixed asset records, run depreciation schedules, and dispose capital assets with other departments.
• Assist in Balance Sheet and Income Statement review for all US and Tecate companies.
• Prepare monthly revenue report and calculate commissions.
• Compile and support auditors' requests for information and documentation.
• Review cost variance reports for accurate expense recording.
• Cross-train and backup cost accounting staff in cost quotes and cost estimates.
