Job summary

IFAB is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator in Gastonia, NC to own the short-term production schedule and align delivery commitments with capacity and materials.

You will coordinate across Operations, Materials, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service; drive continuous improvement and data-driven scheduling decisions, using advanced Excel techniques to enhance visibility and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing scheduling, production control, materials planning, or production coordination.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing, custom metal fabrication, assembly, job-shop, or make-to-order environments.
• Proficiency with PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and multi-sheet data modeling in Excel.
• Working knowledge of routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), WIP, lead times, work centers, and shop-floor manufacturing flow.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and publish daily and weekly production schedules across all departments and shifts.
• Sequence work orders based on due dates, material availability, labor, tooling, and setup times; verify readiness before release.
• Identify capacity issues and material shortages; develop recovery plans with supervisors and escalate delivery risks with data-driven solutions.
• Lead or participate in daily production review meetings with Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping.
• Build and maintain Excel dashboards, capacity models, and reports; use PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, and VBA to automate reporting.
• Track metrics like Schedule Attainment, On-Time Delivery, and Material-Ready Rate to improve flow and stability.
