Job summary

Ventura Coastal in Visalia, CA is hiring for a 2nd Shift janitorial and general labor role in the manufacturing area. The position covers cleaning in production zones, yard cleanup and related tasks as needed, with a shift from 2pm to 10:30pm and a $0.40 shift differential.

Responsibilities include following the sanitation schedule, preparing cleaning agents, cleaning equipment and panels, and maintaining hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in sanitation or similar manufacturing environment.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• English speaking desirable.
• High school graduate or equivalent desirable.
• Previous experience in a plant manufacturing environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and general labor tasks in the manufacturing area as directed by supervisor.
• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule and clean production areas and equipment.
• Prepare cleaning chemicals and operate foaming equipment.
• Clean control panels and maintain chemical supplies; replenish sanitizing dip tanks.
• Assist with teardown and reassembly of equipment for cleaning.
• Maintain clean work areas and report food safety or quality issues to supervisors.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and professional conduct toward customers and visitors.
