Responsibilities include reviewing programs, developing training curricula, assisting accident investigations, updating training, conducting ergonomic assessments, and presenting safety data to management. The role blends office work with production-floor activities.

Qualifications

  • Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Occupational Health or related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Familiar with manufacturing and safety principles is a plus.

  • Conduct written program reviews and develop training curriculums based on these programs.
  • Assist with accident investigations and follow-up with required corrective action.
  • Develop and/or update safety and health training programs for various business units.
  • Provide daily support to the safety department on a variety of safety projects.
  • Assist and conduct internal compliance and injury reduction assessments to include follow through.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations on potential improvements.
  • Quantify and present safety & health statistics to the management team.
  • Support and manage the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.
