JLG, an Oshkosh company, seeks an Autonomy Engineering Intern in Frederick, MD to advance autonomous systems. You’ll contribute to AI‑based object detection, AR/VR, and robotics projects using C++, Python, and Linux.

Graduate in 2025 or 2026; gain hands-on experience with ROS2, OpenCV, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and NVIDIA Jetson deployments on aerial platforms and telehandlers.

Qualifications

  • Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in robotics, computer, and electrical engineering.
  • Must be fluent in C++, Python, Linux.
  • Exposure to training and deployment workflow, such as Rodolfo.
  • Graduation date of December 2025 or 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the problem and develop a solution.
  • Use Python, C++ as programming tools in Linux operating system.
  • Use OpenCV APIs for image processing and/or augmented reality application development.
  • Use ROS2 to build and deploy autonomy onto robotic platforms.
  • Use TensorFlow, PyTorch to create deep learning models using transfer learning.
  • Use NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded boards to train and deploy deep learning/ machine learning models.
  • Hands-on experience working on aerial work platforms, telehandlers, and scissors.
