Job summary

Flexible Metal is seeking a hands-on Robot Tech in Tucker, GA, to program, set up, operate, and repair robotic cells on the production floor. The role requires you to train Machine Operators and ensure production lines run safely and efficiently with high quality output.

You will program and troubleshoot robots, perform maintenance, and work with the Production Manager to keep production on schedule while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous robotics, manufacturing, or automotive experience preferred.
• OTC, Motoman, and/or Fanuc robot training a plus.
• Strong robot programming, troubleshooting, and MIG welding skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM|Overtime as needed

Employment Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.50

What You'll do

As our Robot Tech, you'll be the go‑to technical resource on the floor, keeping every robotic cell programmed, maintained, and producing to optimal levels.

• Perform all duties safely and efficiently, following company safety policies.
• Program, troubleshoot, modify, and operate robotic cells as required.
• Train Machine Operators on cell operation requirements.
• Operate production robot cells.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements for each cell.
• Properly position and secure workpieces on machines and start feeding mechanisms.
• Visually inspect products for surface and dimensional defects, using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Remove finished products from machinery and monitor machine operation to ensure a quality process.
• Inspect parts for proper dimensions and visual defects while the line is running and identify the cause of errors and other defects.
• Troubleshoot robotic systems and make minor adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
• Maintain service records for robotic equipment and automated production systems.
• Install, write, adjust, and correct robot programs to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Conduct routine maintenance on robots.
• Work with the Production Manager, Buyer, and Material Specialist to ensure appropriate indirect supplies are ordered to keep production running.
• Meet production standards, quotas, pace, and schedule while maintaining high quality.
• Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with company procedures.
• Communicate any problems with machinery or tooling to your supervisor, work together to resolve issues, and suggest improvements.
• Use hand tools when necessary, such as hammers, mallets, and air tools.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous robotics, manufacturing, or automotive experience is preferred.
• OTC, Motoman, and/ or Fanuc robot training is a plus.
• Strong robot programming, troubleshooting, and MIG Welding skills are preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds, repetitive bending and reaching, and safely operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment. Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment, moderate to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, metal dust, oils, lubricants, and other manufacturing conditions. The use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all company safety policies and procedures is required.
