Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing technology activities across the Newark facility, including process and product technology initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance operational performance and asset utilization.
  • Partner with site Operations teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Review and prioritize maintenance work requests in alignment with established maintenance strategies and business needs.
  • Develop and communicate maintenance and reliability programs to improve equipment performance and operational uptime.
  • Lead or support reliability improvement projects through data analysis, problem-solving, and root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to evaluate process capability and maintain high product quality standards.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and operational challenges.
  • Contribute to Operational Excellence projects at other Food Ingredients sites as business needs allow.

Where You'll Make a Difference

What Makes You the Right Fit
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

How Would You Stand Out?
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in a chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and experience with 5S workplace organization practices.

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$90,000 base salary, depending on candidate experience and relevancy to the position and other factors determined by the hiring team in their decision.

For your awareness, IFF has announced its intention to sell its Food Ingredients Business to CVC Capital Partners. The sale is currently expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

The Food Ingredient business unit will remain part of IFF until close and, at such time, will transition to CVC Capital Partners.
