Job summary

Koch Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold and improve ammonia refrigeration systems. The role requires performing preventive/predictive maintenance, monitoring performance, and adhering to LOTO and PSM procedures.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, component replacement, and logging work in the CMMS daily, with emphasis on electrical circuits and system integrity.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience operating and maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems.
• 1+ year experience with electrical low and high voltage circuits.
• Strong math skills and technically savvy.

• Maintain, repair, and perform evaluations and preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration systems according to PM List and instructed by leadership.
• Monitor system performance.
• Replace components within the refrigeration's system, with safe LOTO procedures and in accordance with PSM program.
• Troubleshoot equipment and recommend corrective action.
• Complete work orders and PMs ensuring all performed work is logged into the CMMS (APSM) daily.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, re-circulators, purgers, evaporators, valves, etc.

Job description

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, re-circulators, purgers, evaporators, valves, etc.
• All other relevant duties to the job.

• RETA 1, or equivalent industrial ammonia refrigeration training such as Stellar, Frick, Lanier/GCAP, or employer training program
• 1+ year experience operating and maintaining Ammonia Refrigeration systems required.
• 1+ year experience with electrical low and high voltage circuits required.
• Strong math skills and technically savvy.
