Job summary

Koch Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for our Morton, MS prepared plant facility. The role focuses on operating, maintaining and repairing large ammonia-based refrigeration systems to ensure food safety and equipment reliability.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of ammonia refrigeration experience, 1 year on electrical low/high voltage circuits, strong math skills, and hands-on troubleshooting ability.

• 1+ year experience with electrical low and high voltage circuits.
• Strong math skills and technically savvy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain daily logs and other required paperwork.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, re-circulators, purgers, evaporators, valves, etc.

Job description

The Refrigeration Technician operates, maintains, and repairs industrial cooling and freezing, large ammonia-based refrigeration systems in our prepared plant facility. They ensure optimal temperatures for food safety, compliance with government safety regulations, and equipment reliability. This person must be experienced maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems within a manufacturing facility.

• Maintain, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain daily logs and other required paperwork.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, re-circulators, purgers, evaporators, valves, etc.
• All other relevant duties to the job.

• 1+ year experience operating and maintaining Ammonia Refrigeration systems required.
• 1+ year experience with electrical low and high voltage circuits required.
• Strong math skills and technically savvy.
