Job summary

Koch Foods is seeking a maintenance technician specialized in ammonia refrigeration to join our plant operations in Collinsville, AL. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, monitor system performance, replace components with proper LOTO and PSM compliance, troubleshoot equipment, and log tasks in the CMMS (APSM) daily.

You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, purgers, evaporators, valves, and related equipment,

Qualifications

• RETA 1 ammonia refrigeration training or equivalent
• 1+ year experience operating and maintaining Ammonia Refrigeration systems
• Electrical low and high voltage circuits experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and perform evaluations and preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration systems according to PM List and instructed by leadership.
• Monitor system performance.
• Replace components within the refrigeration's system, with safe LOTO procedures and in accordance with PSM program.
• Troubleshoot equipment and recommend corrective action.
• Complete work orders and PMs ensuring all performed work is logged into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) (APSM) daily.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, re-circulators, purgers, evaporators, valves, etc.
• All other relevant duties to the job.

• Strong math skills and technically savvy.
